About
Dr. Kruti Patel grew up in Bensalem, PA. She is a summa cum laude graduate of the Pennoni Honors College at Drexel University, majoring in Biological Sciences. Dr. Patel received her doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. She earned Honors in Clinical Dentistry, which was awarded for advanced clinical achievement, and Honors in Community Service, which was given for her completing over 120 hours of volunteer services in West Philadelphia educating local Philadelphians, doctors, and nurses about head and neck cancer. Dr. Patel's commitment to continuing her education was illustrated by her completing a General Practice Dental Residency Program at Abington Memorial Hospital, where she was honored as Resident of the Year. As Dr. Cohen's former dental resident, he had the opportunity to observe Dr. Patel's clinical skills and interactions with the hospital staff and patients. This played a crucial role in him asking Dr. Patel to join his dental family in the fall of 2015. Dr. Patel is dedicated and driven to further expand her already strong clinical and didactic foundation through continuing education and takes great pride in keeping up with the latest innovations in dental care and technology. She has taken advanced dental courses throughout the country. Currently, she is going to The Spear Education Center in Scottsdale, AZ; there, she is being mentored by some of the top dentists in the world in comprehensive, esthetic, and restorative dental care. She is Invisalign certified and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Montgomery Bucks Dental Society, where she serves on the Executive Board as Editor. Dr. Patel is a huge foodie and loves to try new restaurants (so please recommend your favorite places). When she is not working, you will find her hanging out with her friends and family, baking, and learning how to cook. Dr. Patel is recently engaged to her fiancé Akash, who also has local roots and is completing his Radiology Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Their plans are to remain local, close to their families, and start a family of their own in the area.
