About
Laura L. Steinberg, D.D.S. is a California native. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her dental degree at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Later she completed a two-year hospital dental residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Steinberg has been treating patients in the Greensboro area since July 1996. She was formerly on the surgical staff at Moses Cone Health System. Dr. Steinberg was elected president of the Guilford County Dental Society in 2003 and is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute Advanced Education Center. In 2007, she was one of 2% of dentists in the country to obtain her Masters with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Steinberg is an active member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the L. D. Pankey Institute. She is involved with local dental study clubs as well. Dr. Steinberg is active within her community, at her church and in the life of her son, Cal, born in 2002. She has volunteered for the Christina's Smile mobile dental clinic since 1994, and has participated in the Women's Only 5k Walk & Run multiple times, since 1996. The proceeds from the Women's Only 5k Walk & Run provide screening mammograms for women who can't afford them. She is an active volunteer with Christ United Methodist Church. Dr. Steinberg and her husband, Ken Wilhelm, were married in 1997 and reside in Greensboro's historical area. They both enjoy exercise, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering in the community. Their son, Cal, was born in 2002. When Dr. Steinberg is not at the office, she also enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking, writing, reading, gardening, hiking and biking.
