About
Dr. Shefrin was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in Orlando, Florida. She was a Dean's List student and a member of Florida Scholars in college. In addition to doing research in the University of Florida microbiology laboratory, she worked at Disney World where you might have seen her in costume as either Chip, Dale, Roger Rabbit, or Gonzo! After dental school, Dr. Shefrin continued her education with a one-year General Practice Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, followed by a one year fellowship in Endodontics at the University Of Florida School Of Dentistry, and then a further year of Endodontic study back in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She now lives in Cumming with her husband and their children Abby and Seth. In her spare time, she enjoys vegetable gardening, Mediterranean cooking, and various home craft. Dr. Shefrin is active as an officer in the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association and Northern District Dental Society. She particularly enjoys the challenges of endodontics and cosmetic dentistry and loves helping improve her patients' smiles and lives. Patients can visit Dr. Shefrin at the DentFirst Cumming office.
