Dr. Linda King, DDS

About

Dr. King graduated from the Medical College of Virginia's School of Dentistry in Richmond in 1994. She started in private practice dentistry and has become a perpetual student. She began practicing in Griffin, Georgia and started her own practice in Locust Grove in 1997. Dr. King achieved the prestigious Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry award in July, 2006. Only 1% of practicing dentists have achieved this award. This involved achieving more than 1100 hours of continuous education in all aspects of dentistry. In July of 2006, she became one of the youngest women ever to have achieved this award. She has currently received the prestigeous LLSR (life long serice recognition) of the AGD requiring over 600 hours in continuing education and 300 hours of service to the profession. Her commitment to her education involved completing six levels at the Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Technology, several levels of Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Technology, the Dawson Center, and continuums at LSU School of Dentistry's Aesthetic Continuum. She attends hundreds of hours of continuing education per year in order to ensure that her patients get the most up-to-date care possible. Dr. King believes the more she can learn about all aspects of dentistry, the more choices she can offer her patients to help them keep their teeth. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, , Academy of General Dentistry, Hinman Dental Society, and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. She is a fellow in both the Pierre Fauchard Association of dentists and the International College of Dentists. She currently serves as a Delegate of the Georgia Dental association and is a past President and Editor of the Northern Distict Dental Society branch of the Georgia Dental Association. She has served in Locust Grove's revitalization of the downtown district in their Downtown Development Authority on current appointment. She is a graduate of Landmark Education Corporation and is a parishioner of St. James in McDonough, GA. She is proud to be a member of Rotary International since 2009 She is married to Tim Kohl and together they have one daughter. Tim assists the office with marketing and operations managment. He is also a local drummer and plays at local churches. He is also in a music video seen playing drums with Johnny Cash and Whey Jennings grandsons in the "Highway Man" They have been Henry County residents for several years.
