About
Dr. Scurria has been in private prosthodontic practice since 1999 with a focus on complex reconstructions, practical implant utilization and complete denture therapies. He is well versed in all aspects of prosthodontic care having spent seven years as a full-time faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry, leaving as a tenured associate professor. Dr. Scurria strives to help each of his patients identify the right treatment plan for his or her specific situation. He partners with both an in-house lab technician and other world-class laboratories to carry out ideal individualized treatment plans. He has treated thousands of patients, restoring natural teeth as well as implants with prostheses from a single front tooth crown to complete denture and fixed bridgework reconstructions. He makes his home in Chapel Hill with his wife, Amy, and three children.
