About
Martin R. Minix, D.M.D Martin is born and raised in Kentucky, he attended Prestonsburg High School. After graduating from high school he completed his undergraduate studies at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Realizing his dream of becoming a Dentist, he was accepted into the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry in Lexington and graduated in 1992 with the Aesthetic Dental Award and Doctor of Dental Medicine D.M.D. He specializes in the following areas of dentistry: Orthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Ortho Implants, Invisalign, Clear Correct and Laser Treatment (Soft Tissue Therapy, Hard Tissue Removal and Small Decay Removal). Martin is board certified by the State of Kentucky in General Dentistry and long time member of American Orthodontic Society and The Academy of Operative Dentistry. He also holds multiple specialized certifications in many fields of dentistry including certification in the areas of Implants, Laser SoftCare, Laser Hard Tissue, Straight Wire Orthodontics, Operative Dentistry, and Invisalign. Most recently he obtained his certifications in Botox and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Pain Relief from the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics. He is committed to staying current with the latest in technology in order to provide the greatest health benefit to patients. Dr. Minix enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially building long-term relationships with his patients. He enjoys farming, race cars, many outdoor activities and of course is an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. He has two daughters and one son.
