About
Dr. Matt Kavanaugh grew up in Ligonier, IN, a small town about halfway between Ft. Wayne and South Bend. He attended West Noble High School and then Indiana University for his undergraduate education, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis in 2005. After dental school, Dr. Kavanaugh practiced in Ft. Wayne for two years at Three Rivers Family Dentistry. He wanted to practice in Indianapolis, so in early 2008 he moved back to the city. While Dr. Kavanaugh was searching for a practice, he worked for Immediadent in Avon. In July of 2008, he purchased the practice of Dr. Carter, which became Kavanaugh Dentistry. Dr Kavanugh also teaches at Fortis College's dental assisting school, staffing the radiology clinic. He helps evaluate the students' x-rays and teaches them how to assist with comprehensive exams. On Mondays, Dr. Kavanaugh works in Ligonier for Dr. Richard Brown, his childhood dentist. Dr. Kavanaugh is passionate about dentistry and practices with a laid back but professional style. He believes in a conservative philosophy with an emphasis on preventive dentistry and predictable treatment outcomes.
