I called at 7:30 AM, and was in a chair at 8:45 getting a bad tooth pulled. It was fast , and efficient. I couldn’t have gone through another night with the pain
I went to the doctors office initially to have a crown reviewed. Upon review, he told me that it needed to be removed. It is in the front of my mouth. He said I either remove it and get an implant or it’s gonna fall out anyways. I’ve had this crown for 16 years. Told me that “he’d hate to see a young girl have no front teeth over refusing to pay for implants,” and “most young people sell their house, car, dogs, or max out credit cards and do everything at all cost to have teeth.” Instead of being understanding, tried ripping out my front tooth and back teeth. Upon refusal, he refused me and told me to leave. I was shamed by the nurses for one of my back teeth rotting because I can’t afford to pay the hefty bills.. the one nurse made a whip sound with her mouth when she came back from speaking with the doctor. This is how I knew it wouldn’t go well… he’s arrogant and rude. As a patient for 3 years, I will NEVER go back…
Part of being a good healthcare professional is being able to effectively communicate with and understand your patient's needs and concerns. Dr. Clemente scores very very very low on this metric. Being a patient of his for over 8 years, I finally decided to see Dr. Kathryn Vitelli downstairs in the same building Dr. Clemente works in. Avoid if you're a new patient, 'grit your teeth and bear it' if an exisiting patient, or switch to Dr. Vitelli.
After calling the office 3 days in a row, the staff are still unable to tell me if the Dr. will take on a new patient. So much for the TV advertisements stating they can normally see an emergency appt within 24 hours. Aked me to call back again on Monday, which will not be happening.
Matt Clementi is arrogant, condescending, and in no way the person you should see. I was a patient there for two years and actually like his colleague, Dr. Cady. However, on a Friday at 4 o’clock when a temporary crown fell off, he told me to call on Monday and was very conceited and rude, And practically hung up on me. My tooth was totally exposed, without a root canal, and very painful and when I explained this to him, he repeated that I should call on Monday. His commercial Stout, that he’s available for emergency visit and when they don’t close until 4 o’clock, I felt that he should have been able to wait 15 minutes for me to get there and re-glue my temporary crown.
He needs to go and buy another plane. No.
Dr. Clemente along with his staff helped me with an emergency extraction for a tooth that has been causing me great difficulty and agony for weeks, that other dentists were not competent enough to treat. Even though I paid out of pocket it was worth every dime for the relief that I have now. I highly recommend him and his staff for their professionalism and care.
Staff and Dr Clemente himself all were kind and compassionate as I have dental trauma from past dentists. I saw him due to needing a tooth pulled and was terrified but the hygienist was so calming. Used a bit too much novicaine for my body and heart (have a heart condition) but other than that truly great!
The office is not professional. They do not use good equipment, and instead rely on old archaic practices. Very painful and too much Novocaine. I am not supposed to have too much Novocaine cause it causes heart issues and I told them this. The service I received was terrible, not to mention after care instructions that were non existent. His commercials are on TV every morning, because he is still looking for new patients cause he can't keep patients. These reviews about excellent service are probably posted by staff.
Dr Clemente is the best.. I trust no one else with my teeth..
