About
Dr. Matt Miller was raised in Dubuque Iowa where he attended Loras College completing degrees in Biology and Chemistry, graduating Maxima Cum Laude. After his undergraduate training, he worked in research for several years before attending the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. From there, he was commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Navy. Serving for 12 years, Dr. Miller gained a variety of experience in his field holding a number of positions including being the dental department head on a US Naval warship, the USS FORT MCHENRY. Additionally, he was critical in the medical response to the Haiti earthquake and spent several months there as not only the dental department head but also the medical department head. From there, he completed 3 years of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training and an Exodontia Fellowship at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. After his military career, Dr. Miller joined Lane and Associates Family Dentistry. He has over 350 hours of continuing education focusing on Implant dentistry and is currently an Associate Affiliate Fellow in and a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Miller is working on becoming a Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and earning Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral Implantology, a distinction that only 250 US dentists have achieved. Dr. Miller strives to use all of his knowledge and experience to provide the utmost care for his patients in a relaxed and compassionate manner. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. His hobbies include offshore fishing in the Outer Banks and Saltwater Aquaria.
