Dr. Michael A. Barnett, a Columbus, Ohio native with strong ties to Kentucky, received his Bachelor of Science at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Barnett is passionate about staying current with the most advanced and effective treatments in order to provide his patients with the highest possible care. He continues to attend Continuing Education to exceed the requirement needed to maintain Kentucky licensure. Dr. Barnett is a General Dentist; he also has received specialized training to treat Orafacial Pain, Sleep Apnea and to provide treatment to indviduals of all ages, including infants, for tongue tie and lip tie releases. Dr. Barnett is one of five qualified dentists, in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine: Qualified Dentists are required to have a minimum of 55 hours of continuing education in sleep medicine. He is currently working toward the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine's Diplomat Status, of which there are only in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He also holds membership with the American Academy of Cranifacial Pain and Dr. Barnett is working on his board certification. Dr. Barnett is also a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Louisville Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and American Academy of Orofacial Pain. Dr. Barnett takes pleasure in getting to know his patients and caring for them as they were his own family members.
