Flat out utterly professional practice. The Clifton Park office definitely has their stuff together. There is a level of friendliness, communication skill, competence, and concern and respect for the patient that is rarely seen in medical practices today. The office is modern and well organized. Dr. Gelfman answered my questions patiently and respectfully. Check in was fast and easy. Glad I found this practice.

Pulled #15 (rear molar) in 20 minutes from exam to departure. From arrival to departure about 50 minutes. No surprises. It was a difficult, crowned tooth with a crowned tooth next to it. Novocaine applied - no pain. The whole process is highly scripted, but that doesn't imply it's unfriendly or impersonal. May 6, 2024

They scheduled a consultation appointment, and on my visit after certain checkups and questionnaire with NP. They asked me that for todays visit its $212. I said check on the front desk i should be only paying for the co-pay. They came back and saying that Consultation is not covered by your insurance. I said what is the reason, why do i have this insurance if it's not covered or why do i have this visit if it's not covered. Why you guys have not told me about it before scheduling or before my visits they said "Sorry" but the consultation is not covered anywhere. I told them $212 for consultation is to much for me. I could pay like half of it. But they did not accept. They went to the doctor and the Doctor told them that he could see me today but they will not schedule extraction until i do not pay the fee for consultation. Then i said can i just leave without continuing this consultation. and told me yes. Then i left their office. It was waste of time and insult to me. I would never go to this office again. And suggest nobody should visit them.

My dentist only sent me to see him as I could get in quickly. They warned me that the entire practice was typically cold, unfriendly and not patient centered. I was like "Who cares? I have enough friends" and didn't think about again until I was there for my appointment and like the entire place felt hostile. The doctor shown no interpersonal skills & seemed annoyed I was there. That said, the procedure occurred in a timely manner, I had no complications and a quick recovery.

Doctor rolled his eyes and claimed I wasn't being truthful about my symptoms during consultation and day of surgery. Very condescending. Would not recommend

I had a consult and wisdom tooth extracted by Dr Gelfman. I had read a bunch of reviews by him and was very ansty about it and debated canceling many times. My experience was not worth the anxiety I had. He was upbeat and answered all our questions. He even agreed to do the IV sedation without opioids as I was adamant I didn't want any opioids at all. I'm very pleased with his care and would return to him if I had the need for any other oral surgery

He was condescending during my consultation, and even worse the day of my surgery; that doesn't help if a patient is already nervous.
