About
Dr. Mike Murphy's dental career began in 1997 when he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He completed an AEGD residency at Sheppard Air Force Base in August 1998. After a 4 year tour in the Air Force, he returned to Virginia and set up a private practice. With a passion for dental implants, he immersed himself in extensive continuing education and training to learn advanced implant restorative techniques. In 2011, he and his wife Tara decided to sell the Virginia practice, return to her native hometown in Northern Wisconsin, and Dr. Murphy took over a practice of a retiring dentist. Dr. Murphy has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, and Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. When not in the office, Dr. Murphy, his wife, and 5 children enjoy outdoor activities like snowmobiling, skiing, camping, and spending as much time on their boat as the Northern summers allow. He is also varsity head volleyball coach at Prentice High School.
