I had a disappointing experience during my initial visit to Fairfax Family Dental Care. From my interaction with the receptionist to the doctor, I found the level of professionalism to be lacking. Although they offer a free consultation for first-time patients, I was pressured into taking X-rays, and my treatment plan was not discussed, despite providing my previous X-rays for evaluation.I found Dr. Milan Simanek to be quite dismissive and unprofessional in his demeanor. When I requested my documents back, my request was unreasonably denied. Overall, this experience fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend their services.

I contacted this dental practice at 2:53 p. I was in the dentist chair at 3:47 p day off. My insurance was used and a minimum fee for service was included. This experience was unbelievable due to my family dentist couldn’t get me an immediate appointment for three from this experience. The practice went above and beyond to earn my business and they didn’t and I will continue to do business.

Always a pleasant experience. Cynthia is so good with cleaning. Place to always clean, organized, on time and plenty of reminders so I don’t miss the appointments. Like Dr. Simanek a lot.

My mom had a filling come out and her regular dentist wouldn’t see her. Dr. Simanek had her come right in and did a thorough examination along with the necessary X-rays. He explained everything clearly and did the necessary work needed until she can see a specialist. Very pleased!

Dr. Simanek did a thorough review and let me know what I needed to get done (at a later date). He is very knowledgeable and I trust the work he does.

Terrible dentist. This doctor should be avoided. He’s the absolute worst dentist I’ve ever encountered.

I really dislike going to the dentist's office. But, there is something about Dr. Simanek's manner that lowers my anxiety. Highly recommend him and ALL of the dental hygienists.

Last summer, during the "stay at home due to COVID" order, I broke a tooth. My regular dentist was closed; I found this practice from a Google search for Fairfax emergency dentistry. I was impressed with the hygiene practices here. Dr. Simanek confirmed that I'd broken a good part of my tooth and needed a crown. All staff were very patient and made sure I knew exactly what was going on. A few weeks later I broke another tooth and had no hesitation in calling Dr. Simanek. I've become a regular patient here as I can't easily get to my downtown DC dentist. Cindy, the hygienist is wonderful as well -- a very light touch and gets my teeth thoroughly cleaned. Everybody explains treatment and procedures so that I can understand but do not condescend. I highly recommend them.
