About
Education Dr. Shaafi graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1992. She was awarded Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society Certificate of Excellence. She was also honored with certificate of membership in Ferdinand J. S. Gorgas Odontological Society for having fulfilled proficiency of scholarship and possession of those qualities of character and personality so vital to the effective practice of the art and science of dentistry. Since then she has continued to uphold those standards. Volunteer Work Dr. Shaafi dedicates a significant amount of her time to continuing education as she continues to strive for excellence. Her commitment to dentistry goes well beyond her passion for learning as is evident in her volunteer work in the community. Dr. Shaafi provides dental treatment to low-income and uninsured adults in the community through the Mission of Mercy project and helps improve the oral health of needy children in our area at "Give Kids a Smile Day". She is also a volunteer dentist at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic.
