Dr. Monique O. Johnson GEDC Bio- Midtown Dr. Monique Johnson is a board certified dentist who has been practicing dentistry since 2016. She specializes in diagnosing and treating patients for dental emergencies, restorative, cosmetic dentistry, and Invisalign. Dr. Johnson's first interest and exposure to dentistry began at the age of 3 with Nanston Dental. She has grown as a patient with Nanston Dental, which transitioned to Great Expressions Dental Center, and now currently works for her childhood dental company. Dr. Johnson has had firsthand experience as a patient and dental provider at Great Expressions Dental Center. Dr. Johnson attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL where she obtained a B.S. in Biology and Minor in Music. She continued her education at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and also held several leadership positions. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Johnson completed her General Practice Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, NY. She then returned to Atlanta to practice dentistry and serve her community. Associations Dr. Johnson takes great delight in staying current with the latest advancements by attending continuing education courses to provide her patients with the best dental care. She is an active member of - Georgia Dental Association American Dental Association North Georgia Dental Society (NGDS) New York Dental Society Association and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in which she has completed close to 200 continuing education hours this year alone. Dr. Johnson has a love for community service and has participated in mission trips to Jamaica and Brazil. She enjoys volunteering at various outreach events to promote oral health. She also has a passion for visiting schools to talk about the importance of good oral hygiene. Dr. Johnson is more than happy to help you achieve your best smile.
