From the time she was a young girl, Dr. Natalie Carley aspired to become a dentist. “I can remember hopping into my dentist’s chair as a child and looking up at him with such admiration. From his kind, gentle nature to all of his fascinating instruments, I dreamed of someday being able to provide such care to patients of my own.” “My whole life, I have had a passion for both art and science and I could think of no better way to combine the two than to become a dentist.” Dr. Carley believes that there is nothing as rewarding as providing patients with the ability to smile with confidence. She loves going to work everyday knowing that she has made a difference in her patients’ lives. Dr. Natalie Carley earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University Chicago and graduated with high honors. Dr. Carley then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2011. As a senior dental student, she was awarded the Quintessence of Restorative Dentistry Award for her outstandingly meticulous dental work she performed while in school. This is an award that is received by one dental student at each dental school in the country. She was also an active member of the Delta Sigma Delta, a prestigious dental fraternity. During her second year of dental training, she participated in a dental missionary trip to Jamaica. There she provided care to individuals for whom dental care is unavailable in their communities. “This was an extremely rewarding experience and it has taught me much more than what pertains to dentistry. It has opened my eyes to something that I had not seen before. I am looking forward to my next opportunity to serve.” Dr. Natalie joined her husband and partner Dr. Ryan Carley at Carley Family Dental in 2011. Today, Dr. Carley is involved in the most current dental solutions available. ” Dentistry is always changing and for that reason, we as dentists are responsible for keeping our knowledge and skills up to date with the most current techniques. Being active with continuing education will allow me to provide my patients with the outstanding care they deserve.” When Dr. Carley is not at the office, she enjoys being a mother to her new baby boy. She and Dr. Ryan were blessed with the birth of their son October of 2012. She enjoys each opportunity she has to spend time with her family. Some of her interests include hiking, biking, water sports, tennis, gardening, and cooking.
