About
Dr. Nathan McGuire was born and raised in Chaffee, MO. As a child he had an underbite and lots of crowding that caused him to need extensive orthodontic treatment. He had it all: palatal expander, full braces, headgear… and was able to experience first-hand what a difference having a nice smile can make! It made such an impact on him that he decided that he wanted to become an orthodontist when he grew up. Dr. McGuire likes to focus on early treatment in children. Not only does he feel that many patients will achieve their best outcome, particularly patients with crowding or bite issues, but he also believes starting to correct malformations before children become self-conscious about them can help develop a positive self-concept. Dr. McGuire is the oldest of four boys and has always loved playing sports, especially basketball and baseball. He graduated Valedictorian from Notre Dame High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he played baseball. Dr. McGuire is married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, and they love raising their family in Cape Girardeau, near both of their families. They have four children- Nolan, Lucas, Ainsley, and Tessa and enjoy spending time with them and being involved in their activities. Most evenings you will find Dr. McGuire at a field or court, coaching one of his children's sports teams, which he loves! Dr. McGuire truly enjoys getting to know his patients through the course of their treatment, but he especially loves being able to help people get the smile they want and helping to positively impact their lives the way his orthodontic treatment did for him years ago!
