About
Dr. Needa Waseem always knew she wanted to enter the healthcare field and was interested in dentistry since middle school. After shadowing and interning at local dental practices, she knew dentistry was for her- she enjoys the mix of science and art that dentistry provides. Dr. Waseem enjoys how dentistry helps not only transform a patient's smile from the outside but also how they feel about themselves inside, whether it is taking a patient out of discomfort or enhancing a patient's smile. Dr. Waseem believes making a patient comfortable is the most important aspect in providing the best dental care and always listens to her patient's concerns and past experiences. She takes pride in her gentle approach and always takes the time to get to know her patients. She was accepted to dental school early at the age of 20 after completing her 3rd year as a Biology major at St. John's University. She completed her dental training at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and a general practice residency program at the competitive North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Waseem grew up in NYC and settled into NJ after she was married. She enjoys reading, cooking healthy meals and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Waseem enjoys helping those in need. She regularly volunteers in Soup Kitchen and clothing drives for those in 3rd world countries. Additionally, she has participated in an outreach in the underserved rural towns of Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee in coordination with Missions of Mercy & Remote Area of Medical Volunteer Corps.
