The first “red flag” was that it’s standard procedure at this office to schedule an exam ($259) before you’re allowed to schedule a cleaning, which seemed backward to me, but I initially accepted it. At the exam, Dr. Mozer told me that he would not allow me to schedule a cleaning until I had met with his root canal specialist (proposed as a solution for a tooth that is worn, but not decayed or infected). I think it’s really exploitative and perhaps even contrary to the dental code of ethics to withhold a cleaning until a patient shells out more money for an additional consultation. If I do need a root canal, wouldn’t it be better to perform it on a clean set of teeth? Tl;dr this office wouldn’t perform the simplest and most routine service except on the condition that I pursue a more expensive and complicated treatment about which I will need to seek a second opinion anyway. This office also doesn’t take any insurance, although they will submit the paperwork for you.
I've been a patient of Dr. Mozer for close to twenty years. I have never been disappointed. He is very professional and always answers all my questions. He explains everything that will be done before a procedure and as you are going through it - always making sure you are comfortable. The staff are friendly and competent. I will continue to go to Dr. Mozer another twenty years God willing.
Dr Mozer is very competant and fast.
He kept insisting i do something i didn't need. Expensive. He did something different i did not want. I felt robbed and taken advantage of.
Dr Mozer recommended a course of action that would have cost me two to three big implants, lots of money, long recovery, and new implants or false teeth. His havoc-wrecking opinion was proven wrong, and he also overlooked a cavity contributing to the problem. Another dentist took care of this swiftly, a few days later, in just one sitting, and no implants were lost. The other dentist did have a $180,000 laser in his office, which Dr Mozer may not have.
I've been put through unnecessary procedures. Also, fear was instilled to push me forward with work that I did not need. Finally went for a second opinion and the work he was going to perform was not needed. Saved me over $4,000.
Everything about Dr Mozer's office is great. The atmosphere is calming and quite peaceful. His staff members nice and are willing to assist with whatever is needed. The hygienists are able to clean my teeth very well, all while using equipment that isn't ear piercing! The same goes for Dr Mozer. Recently I've had a few fillings re-done, and he was able to do a tremendous job. Much better than past desists that I've seen.
Overall excellent care within this office! If I could give more than five stars, I would. The staff is very sweet and the service is excellent. For the past few years, I've been able to rely on Dr. Mozer. His work is pristine and I feel like my teeth are in great hands.
Dr. Mozer's office is quite pleasant, and I enjoy my annual visits with him. His staff are both very caring and attentive, as well as himself. I trust that my family is in good hands, when we come in.
Dr Mozer does excellent work, he has a reassuring and informative manner, and he uses technology to make the patient experience more pleasant. Even his staff is great.
