About
Dr. Evans, who graduated from high school in Williamsburg, Virginia, began his professional career at East Carolina University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then conducted cancer research at the National Institute of Health before returning to graduate school at the Medical College of Virginia, where he received a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Evans continued his education, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1982. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University.Since beginning his dental career, Dr. Evans has continually added to his knowledge base by attending professional educational courses, adding up to more than 1900 hours of advanced education. To this day, Dr. Evans attends conferences and continuing education courses that will allow him to provide the latest in professional care to his valued patients. Dr. Evans is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, part of an elite group of dentists that consists of less than 1800 professionals worldwide. Reaching this level of education requires surpassing the Fellowship award, which in itself is a prestigious accomplishment, and completing the most rigorous educational program for dental professionals.With a desire to better the dental field, Dr. Evans serves as a coach to other dental professionals, both on a local and national level, teaching practice management and efficiency. He also shares his personal knowledge regarding BioCompatible Dental Care with others in the field through speaking engagements. He is President of The BioCompatible Dentist, and is a founding member of The American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH).Dr. Evans holds memberships with the International Academy for Oral Medicine and Toxicology, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Peninsula Dental Society, and the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry.
