About
Dr. Philip Benton grew up in Clinton, Il. and graduated with a B.S. in Ed. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University. He received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, Dr. Benton enlisted in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and practiced at the Navy Dental Clinic at Parris Island Marine Base and Beaufort S.C. Naval Hospital. Upon discharge from the U.S. Navy, Dr. Benton associated with Dr. C. W. Love in McColl S.C. and purchased the practice in 1989. The practice moved to it's present location in 1995, and was incorporated into Palmetto Dental Health Associates, P.A. Dr. Benton is a member of the American Dental Association, the S.C. Dental Association, the Academy for General Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the International Association for Orthodontics, and the Academy for G. P. Orthodontics.
