About
Dr. Render completed his undergraduate and dental degree at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. The dental school is now part of Rutgers University. He entered the military for a few years but enjoyed military life so much he remained for 26 years and retired out of Ft. Eustis, VA. After 5 years of military dentistry as a general dentist he was selected to study a specialty. He was trained in the field of Prosthodontics in El Paso Texas for an additional two years and then studied for one more year in Walter Reed assisting in their residency training before passing a stringent and coveted elective Board Certification Exam. This is not a licensure requirement but one to demonstrate complete mastery in a field. After Walter Reed and another tour in Germany, the army tapped his abilities because it was time to give back and do the training. He served as assistant director for one year and then 3 years as director of the residency program in San Antonio Tx. After a full and happy military life, he re-entered the civilian world and opened a retirement practice in the small town of Hayes VA ( Gloucester point area) and has enjoyed serving the local residents with good diagnosis and compassionate caring. His military assignments included two tours to Germany, El Paso , Tx. Walter Reed in DC, San Antonio and twice at Ft. Eustis.
