About
Born in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Vahab earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 1998. Upon graduation, Dr. Vahab began a career in molecular genetics, working at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories in New York and started a PhD in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology at Cornell University. Before finishing his PhD, Dr. Vahab made a career change. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and then completed a three year residency at the University of Maryland in the orthodontic specialty. In conjunction with his orthodontic residency, Dr. Vahab obtained a Masters of Science in Oral Biology. Dr. Vahab and his wife Lana live in Washington, DC with their son, Ansel, their dog Pamuk and their cat Latka. You might find them enjoying night movies in the park, riding their tandem bike along the Potomac River, gardening, or just enjoying a nature walk.
