About
Dr. Raghav Sundaresh truly enjoys getting to know his patients and has a passion for helping them achieve their best SMILE. He believes that a beautiful smile improves a person's self-confidence and overall quality of life. He listens to his patients' needs and desires, and treats them like family. He believes that teeth and the oral cavity play an important role in systemic health and wants to help his patients achieve their optimal oral health. Dr. Sundaresh grew up in Bangalore, India. Coming from humble beginnings, he used sports as a way to jumpstart his future ambitions. From being the best speed skater in the country in his age group to being one of the top junior tennis players in the country, sport has always been a big part of his life. Dr. Sundaresh moved to Orangeburg, SC to attend SC State University on a tennis scholarship. He was the captain of the tennis team and was selected for the all-conference teams at the end of the season. He graduated Magna Cum laude with degrees in Computer Science and Accounting. He also joined the Omega Psi Phi fraternity while at SC State. Dr. Sundaresh moved to Charlotte in 2006 to work in banking. During his 4 years in banking, he realized that his true passion is to work in health care and make a positive impact on people's lives. He met and married his wife Sheena while in Charlotte. In 2012, Dr. Sundaresh was admitted to the School of Dentistry at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his time at UNC, he received numerous scholarships and also did a service trip to Nepal for 5 weeks to provide dental care for people with no access to a dental facility. Dr. Sundaresh is committed to learning about the latest advancements in dentistry, with a keen interest in using technology to advance treatment protocol. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, and Charlotte Dental Society. When Dr. Sundaresh is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis, running, traveling, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
