About
Richard M. Sprang, DDS was born in Mansfield, Ohio, and raised in the countryside north of the city. As a child, he always gravitated to hobbies that involved creativity, attention to detail, and hand skills. He could often be found performing sleight-of-hand magic, playing guitar, and woodworking.In high school, he loved science and chemistry and decided chemistry would be his major at Miami University. It only took a week of college for him to realize that I needed something artistic to be happy. A friend in his dorm talked about becoming a dentist. Thats when it clickeda career that entails both art and science! Dentistry became his destiny. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2006.Dr. Sprang enjoys dentistry because every patient has a unique set of problems to be solved. He is able to use the skills he has honed since childhood, and the knowledge and training he has obtained through his dental education to make a difference in the lives of his patients. Being a creative person, he also enjoys the variety of procedures and patient needs every day brings. He has been serving the Mount Vernon community since 2008 and loves all the relationships he has built with his patients over the years.
