About
Dr. Carter is a native Atlantan. He was born at Emory University Hospital and grew up in the Decatur area, where his parents still live. He has a B.S. degree in Biology from Davidson College and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Meg, live in North Buckhead with their three sons, Davis, Grant and Aleck and their two dogs, Bodhi and Finn. Dr. Carter is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. He believes very strongly in his commitment to continuing education and as a result has studied and continues to study with such organizations as the Pankey Institute, the Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry, and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is the president of the Atlanta Dental Study Group and also leads The Pankey Learning group and he is a visiting faculty member at The Pankey Institute. In his personal life, he enjoys home improvement projects, spending time with his family, coaching baseball at NYO, playing golf and ushering at the Cathedral of St. Philip.
