About
Dr. Ronald Wand received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in psychology and biology. He then went on to dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the city in which he was born and raised. It was there where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery(DDS) in 1971, graduating with honors. After graduation, he was fortunate enough to have the experience of a General Practice Residency at William Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso, Texas followed by serving 2 years as the chief dental officer at Fort Gillem in Atlanta. In the mid 1970's he began his private practice along with teaching clinical dentistry for 10 years at Emory University as a part time faculty member. Dr. Wand has since continued his education with many annual post graduate courses (more than 600 hrs) in restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry. Most recently, had the distinct honor of being voted by his peers as one of Atlanta areas Top Dentist (Atlanta Magazine January 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014). Dr. Wand has been married to his wife Linda for over 23 years and they have 5 adult children between them. He loves to spend his free time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies and passions include photography, gardening, traveling, exercising and relaxing at the beach in Seagrove Beach, Florida. Dr. Wand specializes in Dental Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry, Porcelain Veneers/Laminates, Teeth Whitening, Crown and Bridge, Sleep and snoring appliances, Periodontal Treatment, Tooth colored fillings and bonding, Root canal therapy, Oral Surgery (extractions), Oral Cancer Screenings, Removable dentures and Emergency Dental Care. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, Northern District Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity (former Chapter President), and American Academy of General Dentistry.
