About
Dr. Freeman, grew up in Merrillville, Indiana and graduated from Merrillville High school in 2005. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington,IN and completed his dental studies at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Shaun began his career practicing dentistry in Tampa, Florida but has returned to practice in Indiana to be close to his and his wife's family. With a mission to provide comprehensive, kind, and pain-free dental care to his patients, Dr. Shaun strives to give patients the confidence to be proud of their smiles. Dr. Shaun works to accomplish this mission through completion of a variety of advanced continuing education courses with topics including: dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic veneers, tooth colored restorations, extractions and bone grafting, pediatric training, root canals, implant restorations, full and partial dentures, crowns and bridges, and more. Dr. Shaun currently lives in Chicago, Illinois with his wife, Dr. Maya Gendlin, who is also a general dentist. Dr. Shaun and Dr. Gendlin met in dental school, and got married in June, 2017 in Highland, IN. Dr. Shaun enjoys living in Chicago, spending time with friends and family, exercising, golf, and is a fan of the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Indiana University basketball. Dr. Shaun has given back to the local community through "Free Dental Days" and traveled to Port Margot, Haiti to treat patients without access to dental care. Dr. Shaun is an active member of the Indiana Dental Association (IDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Northwest Indiana Dental Society (ISDS), the Chicago Dental Society (CDS), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
