Presented to the dentist inquiring about dentures. After x-ray, Dr. Mehdi stated that she was capable of pulling out all 15 of my teeth. Given I'm on Medicaid and dentists are very hard to find, I chose to stay. With her using only 3 shots of numbing agent (stating she couldn't give more), she pulled all 15 teeth out but leaving gashes all over my mouth. I was in agony for the entire procedure, with Dr. Mehdi telling me to stop fidgeting and complaining. My mouth swelled up to the point of going to Urgent Care and getting Rx for antibiotic. Now I cannot get fitted for dentures for a while until my mouth heals and I refuse to use this person again. Please be careful using this dentist!
The first time I visited the office I had wait an hour and a half for the hygienist. The 2nd time I had to wait an hour. So hopefully this time I will only have to wait a half hour.
Extremely rude and unprofessional dentist. Treat patients like garbage and have zero compassion or manners.
I feel like I was assaulted while in her chair. She poked me with the metal instrument until I bled. I do not have and never had plaque build up so there was not reason for that. She cut my gums, and injured me. I am concerned and worried she exposed me to some sort of infection, because she said I will experience gum loss, and should not go to a periodontist because they are expensive. Every since leaving her office my gums have been irritated and I have been looking for a way to get to a periodontist. She also used a very course sandy abrasive that scatched and damaged my teeth rather than polish them. When I left there the shine on my teeth was gone, my gums were damaged, and my smile was dulled. She seems to be an angry person who seems to damage teeth rather than care for them. I am concerned that her anger toward patients could lead to neglect of instrument hygiene and spread disease. I don't think she cares for patients well being. One star too much!
My fiancé went in as a new patient, expecting a cleaning and assessment of a broken filling. He received the cleaning, then the dentist (Mehdi) came in and immediately “went to work “ on his mouth. She did not explain anything she was doing, and proceeded to give him 6 shots of Novocain and worked on SEVERAL teeth. Here we are, three days later, in the urgent care with severe pain and swelling to his face! If you hold your oral health in high regard, DO NOT see this dentist!
Saratoga Dental came highly recommended to me many years ago when i had relocated to this area. The office is very nice along with really friendly front desk staff & excellent tech. staff. The Dentist is always very accommodating when I have needed a last min. change in my 6 month dental cleaning appointment & also squeezing me in last min. for an emergency I had with a tooth I had cracked. My dentist Dr. Shazia Mehdi is always nice & very friendly & is an excellent dentist's.
Dr. Mehdi is amazing! Compassionate, Friendly and professional All the Staff are friendly and knowledgeable..The most warm n Caring office, I've ever been too. I am referring her to everyone I know in need of dental care....Pain free experience..
Dr. Mehdi is very meticulous / thorough in her work. She takes the time to explain the options you have. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Jen the hygienist awesome. Office clean and comfortable , fairly new. Finding Dr. Mehdi who is a graduate NYU College of Dentistry was a HOME RUN !!!
She is very kind, considerate, caring and gentle. She does excellent work and explains everything before she does it. She is very thorough and I would recommend her to anyone.
