About
Dr. Sheedeh Madani is a Philadelphia native whose passion for working with children started at a very young age working as a summer camp counselor for five years at Friends' Central School in Wynnewood, PA. Volunteering and mentoring children in schools throughout Philadelphia, fueled her desire to become a part of children's education and development over time. Combining her academic accomplishments, cheerful personality and effective communication skills, Dr. Madani is a skilled pediatric dentist who always makes everyone around her feel comfortable and welcomed. Dr. Sheedeh Madani earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania (2009) with a major in Biological Basis of Behavior. She then continued her studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (2011) to receive a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. There she was able to apply her knowledge in basic sciences and integrate the importance of oral health to one's overall health. Pursuing her ultimate dream of entering the dental field, Dr. Madani then received her dental medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania (2015), where she was awarded honors and Certificates of Merit in both Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine. Her passion for children led her to continue her education and specialize in the field of pediatric dentistry. She completed a two-year residency program at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children (2017) and specializes in advanced children's dental care providing comprehensive preventative and restorative needs for a multitude of patients. Working in a hospital based setting provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with other medical providers and have a solid foundation for children of all needs and backgrounds. She is also an active member of multiple local and national dental societies including the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is licensed by the Pennsylvania state dental board. She holds certificates of competency from the American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (PALS).
