About
Dr. Sheerin Yusuf started her formal education in dentistry at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka, India. When she moved to the United States, she attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated Summa cum Laude in 2002 with her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2002 with Advanced Standing Student status. She went on to study and receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2009 and completed a Residency in Endodontics until 2011. Adept at research, Dr. Yusuf completed formal analysis in a comparative study to determine the efficiency of variable taper and constant taper rotary files during the cleaning and shaping of the root canal system in teeth with mild, moderate, and severe curvatures. In 2011 she completed another formal research study, which provided A Comparison of Apical Transportation among NiTi constant taper rotary files, M-Wire NiTi files, and stainless steel files in a reciprocating handpiece. Dr. Yusuf is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. When not practicing her passion for dentistry, Dr. Yusuf enjoys reading, swimming, hiking with friends and family, and spending time with her four kids and husband. She speaks English, Hindi, Kannada, and Urdu.
