About
Orthodontist Dr. Stephanie Varljen has been creating beautiful smiles with Dental Care Associates since 2002. A native of Baltimore, MD she received her first degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and spent a number of years with the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, MD. She pursued a second career in dentistry and studied at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery before moving to Birmingham, Al to earn Orthodontic Specialty Certification and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Varljen is a certified Invisalign provider for central PA with many years of experience working with Invisalign patients. She also treats with stainless steel braces and ceramic (clear) braces. Dr. Varljen's treatment philosophy is to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care for patients of all ages. She prefers to see children by age 7 to allow for monitoring and treating developing problems. While full orthodontic treatment is usually accomplished during the early teen years, interceptive treatment can usually reduce the time and complexity of comprehensive treatment. Treatment of adults is done in conjunction with the general dentist to assure the best esthetic and functional results.
