Lifelong resident of Skokie, Illinois since 1961, attending Niles East High School, graduating in the top ten(10) in a class of 750 students. An athlete throughout grade school, high school and college with three(3) years of varsity wrestling involvement in high school being a team co-captain in both junior and senior years. Attended University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, on a educational merit scholarship with a degree from the School of Literature, Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Science Degree: Majoring in Biology, with minors in Genetics and English. Also a 1977 recipient of the B'nai B'rith Academic/Athletic scholarship. Attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors certification in undergraduate endodontics in 1985, while also owning and managing a marine maintenance company in the Chicago area employing multiple dental students with maintenance and repair responsibilities for hundreds of Chicago based boats and yachts. Substantial post-graduation, continuing education in practice management, dental implant restoration, root canal therapy, gum therapy, advanced extraction techniques, digital dentistry, Cad-Cam (3-D) dentistry, radiology and managing the "pit-falls" of dental insurance processing. Initial, post-graduation, experience running multiple Medicaid based dental clinics in underprivileged neighborhoods of Chicago, employing multiple dental associates; while also building a private dental practice in "hometown" Skokie, Illinois, which became a full-time endeavor in 1996; for the past twenty-five(25) years. A community based dental practice, with an "open door" policy to private patients, insured patients and Medicaid (Public-Aid) patients that have come to realize their limited access to knowledgeable, comprehensive, quality dental care. Currently practicing full time in a modern, fully equipped, dental suite located in the famous Old Orchard/Westfield Professional Center while also continuing other interests in real-estate investments, antique automobile restoration, gardening and happiness. Happily married with three grown children, living in architecturally significant home on historic land on the Northshore.
