Dr. Theodore Thomas III, DDS

Dr. Ted Thomas is a native of Washington D.C. and has practiced in the Silver Spring area of Maryland since 1990 with a dedicated and diverse staff. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1984, and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry in 1988. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association and Southern Maryland Dental Society. He has served the Society in many capacities: In 2001 he served as the President, he is currently on the executive board and he teaches a course of Expanded Functions Dental assisting. The Southern Maryland Dental Society is the largest dental component in Maryland. It is comprised of over 800 dentists from Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties who are committed the values and standards of the American Dental Association.Dr. Thomas retired from the United States Air Force Reserve on April 1, 2010 with 26 years of service. He looks forward to educating his patients about the importance of a healthy mouth and a healthy body in order to prevent future dental problems from developing. His focus on preventative, not reactive, care instills in his patients the integrity they have come to expect and value from him and his dental team. Dr. Thomas currently resides in Maryland with his wife of 38 years. They recently celebrated the arrival of their first grandchild. When he is not in the office his hobbies include golf, chess, and genealogy research.
