About
With the exception of college, dental school and residency, Dr. Tom is a lifelong resident of Carrollton, Ohio. He decided to establish his practice on the foundation his father, Dr. Jim Birong and Dr. Kent Berg began over 40 years ago. At Berg & Birong, he found a practice and staff already committed to putting the concerns and welfare of the patient as the sole focus of the entire team, a perfect philosophy for what has become Carrollton Family Dental. Together with partners Dr. Erick Chamblee and Dr. Dave Severson, college classmates at Franciscan University of Steubenville and close friends, Dr. Tom has been able to forge a partnership with dentists who share his goals and focus on the welfare of his patients. Married with five children, his family continues to thrive in Carrollton and has established deep roots in the community. Through his practice, his church, and various sports programs he and his children are part of, Dr. Tom attempts to give back to this community what his family has received. The patients he sees at Carrollton Family Dental are part of an extended family of neighbors and friends that make Carrollton a place he and his family can truly call 'home'.
