About
Dr. Thomas Merten graduated from Union College with a B.S. in bioengineering in 1978. He received his D.D.S. from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1982, and then completed a general dentistry residency at St. Clare's Hospital in 1983. He has been in private practice serving the Capital District with excellent compassionate care for over 25 years. Dr. Merten is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Fourth District Dental Society. He served as the primary dentist at the Glendale Nursing Home for over 19 years. Dr. Merten keeps up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry by attending numerous continuing education courses. Outside of the office, Dr. Merten enjoys scuba diving, golf, photography, and spending time with his wife, Sandy, and three sons. Dr. Merten takes pride in volunteering and being involved in his community, including serving as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout troop 3062 for the last 6 years.
