About
Originally from middle Georgia, Dr. Travis Watson received his bachelor of science degree in microbiology at UGA and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He was then accepted into one of the top hospital-based residencies in the country at University of Alabama-Birmingham. It was there that Dr. Watson began his transformation into the comprehensive, multi-faceted dentist he is today. He received the 2003 Most Outstanding Resident award and became proficient in oral surgery with IV sedation, implant surgery, oral medicine, and complex treatment planning. He is a past-President of the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry and is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2014, he received a fellowship in the International College of Dentists, which is awarded to dentists who show extraordinary leadership and willingness to volunteer to help the less fortunate. Over the span of his career, Dr. Watson has completed over 2000 hours of continuing education, and he continues to be a progressive in his approach. He invests in technology that enhances patient comfort and treatment efficiency. For the last 3 years, Dr. Watson was voted as the Marietta Daily Journal Best of Cobb Dentist. He also serves on the Peer Review Committee for the GA Dental Association where he serves as an expert witness in dental malpractice litigation cases. Dr. Watson practices with his wife, Dr. Cameron Baker-Watson, and together they have two kids, Baker and Vivian. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, running marathons, going to UGA football games and Atlanta Braves games, wake-surfing, snow skiing, and playing the banjo and ukelele. He routinely volunteers his time at the Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb, and regularly volunteers at various functions at the Marietta First United Methodist Church. He also enjoys participating with the Kiwanis Club of Marietta in fundraising activities for Graduate Marietta, a non-profit dedicated to encouraging Marietta youth to graduate high school and pursue higher education.
