About
Dr. Sargent grew up in South Jordan, Utah where he played sports and graduated from Bingham High School. He attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho on an academic and wrestling scholarship. He then served a volunteer two year church mission to The Netherlands and Belgium. Upon returning, he met the love of his life, Joanna, got married, and then finished a degree in Psychology with minors in Dutch and Premed/Predent at Utah State University. His doctorate degree in medical dentistry was earned four years later from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1996. He and his wife have four children, two boys and two girls. His professional memberships have included the Utah Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry, the Crown Council, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Kiwanis Club. He and his family enjoy hiking, hunting, fishing, biking, running, and camping. Dr. Sargent has coached youth, high school and semiprofessional athletes in football, wrestling, baseball and lacrosse.
