About
Dr. Potter grew up in Greenfield, Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree, with high distinction, in Biology from Indiana University. He then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry located in Indianapolis, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, with high distinction, in 1999. He received the Chancellor's Scholar Award and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for attaining the highest academic standing during his dental training. He completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center, Methodist Hospital, and Riley Hospital in 2003. As a part of his training, he investigated and published on false negatives associated with the oral brush biopsy technique and was the first to report a case of an elastofibroma occurring in the oral cavity. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of the American Dental and Indiana Dental Associations. His clinical practice is located in Greenwood, Indiana. His surgical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, implants, oral and maxillofacial pathology, and facial trauma repair. Dr. Potter and his wife, Kristi, have three children, Katie, Jake and Brooke. He enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family in his spare time.
