About
Dr. Vladana Babcic was born in Yugoslavia. Her family moved to Minnetonka, MN when she was young, where she was raised. Her parents still reside there. After completing her BS degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she moved to Boston to pursue a dual degree Masters in Medical Science and International Public Health at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Vladana was then accepted into Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at Tufts, Dr. Vladana received several awards. She was honored with the merit scholarship, given yearly for top academic performance and earned recognition on the Dean's Honor Roll for her performance on the National Board Dental Examination. She also received the clinical Excellence in Endodontics Award. She had an early interest in Endodontics. Dr. Vladana moved to Chicago to pursue her passion for Endodontics. She completed her post doctorate advanced specialty training in Endodontics at University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry. During her residency Dr. Vladana did extensive research on the comparison of CBCT and digital radiography for diagnosis of endodontic lesions. After her residency she accepted a teaching position for the Department of Endodontics. Dr. Vladana is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and Illinois State Dental Society. She served on the committee of Public and Professional Affairs in 2011-2012 for the AAE and will continue to be active in organized dentistry. Dr. Vladana currently lives in Chicago. During her free time she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, skiing and spending time with family and friends. She also speaks Serbo-Croatian.
