Dr Katie Plaisance attended college at the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology graduating Magna Cum Laude After college she attended the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree Dr Plaisance completed additional training at the Dental College of Georgia in the General Practice Residency Program While in Residency she provided treatment for and managed complex dental cases including the treatment of medically complex patients She received advanced multi disciplinary training in surgical techniques for implant placement bone grafting surgical dental extractions IV sedation and endodontics Her Residency allowed her to further develop her ability to provide comprehensive dental care to all her patients Her areas of dental treatment expertise include general restorative dentistry surgical extractions implant placement and restorations oral and IV sedation and root canal therapy Dr Plaisance is a member of the American Dental Association Academy of General Dentistry Georgia Dental Association Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Improving a patient s health and confidence through dental work is one of her favorite things about being a dentist She strongly believes that to excel in dentistry you must have more than just great clinical skills you must be respectful trustworthy and understanding too A native Georgian who grew up in Woodstock Dr Plaisance enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs Lana and Bristol She also loves checking out new places to visit in Atlanta and is open to all recommendations Dr Plaisance earned Fellowship status in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists ICOI The awarding of Fellowship status is an honor the ICOI bestows on a dental professional involved in dental implant treatment

I highly recommend Dr Plaisance. I chipped a tooth and she fixed it very quickly. Looks exactly like it did before! She’s an excellent listener and consultative through the process. Very pleasant experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Plaisance's for the past 5 years always with exceptional results and little to no pain which is extremely important for this chicken-of-a-patient! She has replaced a 20+ year-old crown, extracted a molar (even finding a small "hidden" root that was not visible on the x-ray), and fixed my chipped front tooth so well that even I cannot tell where it was chipped! I don't typically write reviews on doctors because everyone's body (teeth in this case) is different which makes comparison's difficult; however, I've been so pleased with Dr. Plaisance's expertise, professionalism, and kindness that I want to let others know that if you're looking for a great dentist, give Dr. Plaisance a try! She walks you through the procedure before she starts, checks in with you throughout the process letting you know what she's going to do next, and follows up with you the next day to make sure things are okay. Amazingly, I now look forward to going to the dentist!
