Abram and Goldie Cohen Dental Programs Center

The Abram and Goldie Cohen dental programs Center is a dental clinic that operates as a teaching facility for Harcum College's Dental Hygiene, dental assisting, and Expanded Functions Dental Assisting programs. Established in 1990 and expanded in 2003, the facility is equipped with 16 chairs, radiology rooms, a Panorex (360-degree dental X-ray machine), a computer lab, and a classroom. The clinic's primary purpose is to provide students with hands-on, practical experience in a real-world clinical setting. Under the supervision of licensed dental professionals, students provide a range of high-quality dental hygiene services to the public at reasonable prices. The center has a strong commitment to community service, with a focus on serving under- and uninsured patients, including the elderly, through community outreach initiatives. The clinic is open to the public for appointments and offers various services such as exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and different types of X-rays. The clinic's operational hours are approximately 25 hours per week, 11 months of the year, handling a significant number of patient visits annually.
