I started coming in August of this year, and couldn't ask for a better experience here. I was nervous about coming in after they switched from Whole Tooth. I was comfortable with my old dentist and have a multitude of dental issues so I was afraid of a new place and getting judged. I couldn't have been more wrong and wish I came in sooner. Everyone is super friendly and understanding.

The front desk is really kind and personable, and my dentist's Dr. Renee and Denise are so nice and made me feel really welcome. They seemed to genuinely care about getting my teeth back into shape, helped walk me through my treatment plan, and made me no longer dread going to the dentist. Dr. Renee did an amazing job on my crowns (I've had issues in the past with other crowns), but none when she did them.

She was really meticulous. Another big perk is that Allure offers payment plans, which isn't something offered at my prior dentist office. Money was another big reason why I had been avoiding the dentist for so long, so the fact that I can pay in four month increments as opposed to dropping 2k all at once made a world of a difference for me. I really appreciate this place and the employees. Highly recommend!

I was a regular customer at the lincoln park location and always had a great experience. Due to my location change, I decided to move to this location for convenience, and boy was I wrong. It was closer, sure, but no where convenient. I went for a filling and the doctor did a poor job, and I had to revisit them twice so three visits for a single filling and I still have pain in my teeth, a month later. The doctor was rude and wouldn’t listen to me.

I tried explaining the pain and the issue and she was very dismissive. Unfortunately, very bad experience. Won’t be going back.

I had my filling with Oriana and Dr Renee. They are absolutely amazing. They made my day by their humor and friendly nature. Both of them deserve all the praise. I normally get nervous and scared of the procedures but they it so much fun. Really really appreciate them.

Dr Renee earned my trust when she replaced a damaged filling (from 25 years ago) with a much-needed crown. She took photos of the decay to explain why it was needed, and gave me flexibility to move at my own pace. When removing the decay, she saved ~75% of the tooth, meaning the crown didn't need to rest on my (receding) gumline, for easier future cleaning. She carefully explained everything she was doing and why, answering every question in detail. After ~50 years of intensive dental work (due to a childhood condition), I am VERY picky about dental work, and Dr Renee and the entire competent, friendly staff (hygienists, office staff, & dental assistants) have earned my respect and trust.

My only criticism is that office hours are very limited, and it's hard for me to schedule appointments during work hours. There are no early AM or late afternoon appointments, and the intermittent Saturdays fill up quickly. I almost found another dentist for this reason alone, but I'm willing to work with this for now, due to the excellent care. UPDATE: A few developments since my initial review: Billing got my payment total wrong (vs the estimate I signed), and tried to overcharge me – twice. The dentist that I raved about now only works 6 hours/week, with no appointments before or after work or on the weekend, making her impossible to schedule with.

Apparently they didn’t consider letting me know, so I was reassigned to a new dentist without warning. I don’t know what’s going on, but things seem to be trending in the wrong direction. I dropped my rating by a star and will update as events unfold.
