I had some procedures done yesterday and I can’t recommend them enough. Dr. Flaherty did the work very professionally and skillfully. I must also disclose that I was one of his instuctors during his residency, so there might have been a bit more pressure on him. But he passed with flying colors.

The other reason I chose him, is that he is trained in LANAP and has the periolase laser that he used to help with the procedure also. A big plus when looking for periodontal offices. Highly recommend.

No complaints. I was taken in right away, the staff was very professional & very understanding of my nervousness & concerns about getting Dental implants. They got right to work, made sure that I was comfortable & not in any pain.

The assistant Dentist explained the whole procedure step by step while it was unfolding, which I really appreciated. I am looking forward to my new teeth! I would definitely recommend this dental group to anyone who needs implants/dental surgery.

Dr. Shin was efficient and deft, and the procedure went well, which is the most important thing. But I wish that the office staff foregrounded patient preparation and comfort too. At a follow-up appointment two weeks later, Dr. Shin assured me that he had heard my concern and had spoken to the office staff, so I am modifying this review accordingly. I had a lot of trouble getting information. The office handed me the preoperative instructions AFTER the procedure, which was useless, and in spite of my repeated attempts to find out what would happen postoperatively, they gave me conflicting information that turned out later to be incorrect.

As it turned out, I needed a liquid diet - which none of the people I spoke to had told me - so I was totally unprepared, making my recovery much harder than it needed to be. The dental technician started applying numbing gel to the wrong area until I told her, when she said "oh, sorry, I was looking at the wrong photo" (!) A week and two days after my procedure, some of the stitches began to unravel. The loose threads urgently needed to be trimmed before they caught on something. I called five times, left messages. Nobody ever called me back or picked up the phone. In short if you go here, be aware that the office is briskly indifferent to patients' welfare, and you have to be aggressive about getting information. Call repeatedly, until you find out what procedure you're having, how to prepare for it, and what will happen afterwards.

They don't call back. They are impatient when you do talk to them. But get some answers in spite of them. And if you are getting a procedure, insist on getting pre-op instructions before the event.
