As a new immigrant who had never seen a dentist in Canada before, my experience here was extremely frustrating. Subjectively, I lacked experience and failed to figure out my insurance coverage before coming. Objectively, the clinic’s policies were overly rigid, poorly explained, and left no room for negotiation. A friend’s child received emergency treatment covered entirely by provincial insurance, and I assumed that since I had company insurance, I would be in a better position than my uninsured friend. Unfortunately, that assumption marked the beginning of our nightmare. On our first and only visit, I had initially planned to have my youngest child's baby tooth extracted and get check-ups for my two older children. However, the clinic only performed routine check-ups and X-rays for all three kids—no extractions, no treatment. In the end, I had to pay around $200 out of pocket beyond the insurance coverage.

I scheduled a second appointment for extractions and cavity treatments, but fearing the high costs, I canceled it online three days in advance. However, when I called the clinic on Monday, I was told that Saturday and Sunday didn’t count, meaning I hadn’t canceled two days in advance as required. As a result, I was charged a $75 penalty per child. After learning that treatment costs ranged from $1,500 to $1,800 per child while my insurance only covered $1,000 per person per year, I decided to cancel the appointments entirely. My request to waive part of the penalty was mercilessly rejected. In the end, I have to pay $225 in cancellation fees—a costly and foolish lesson. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Updates:　First and foremost, I appreciate Google Maps for providing a platform for reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an official call from Apple Tree shortly after posting mine.

They took the time to patiently listen, offer reassurance, and explain the situation. Most importantly, since it was my first cancellation, they promised to waive the cancellation fee. On top of that, we were able to agree on a one-time treatment plan that worked for both sides. While the experience wasn’t perfect, I appreciate the effort they made to resolve the issue. With that in mind, I’m updating my review and adjusting my rating accordingly.

Im glad that i found this place for my kids and feel so blessed that my kids always wants to go back to it! Sandy made my kids feel so comfortable by taking baby steps with them and was so patient and encouraged them to listen on the hygiene education!! Thank you so much for all your effort with them!

My son enjoyed his dental check up last week and he can’t wait to have his next one for the coins he had and toys! My son had severe crowding on his lower teeth and we were referred to this office and I feel so happy to come as I’ve noticed my son’s teeth very clean and shiny since the appointment! Thank you Sandy for all your hard work and flawless hygiene appointment ! You’re a keeper until my son is 18 I guess :)

My kids love this place and how they style it to be kids friendly with all the toys and games! My kids had dental check and cleaning yesterday and it was a beautiful experience with sandy and the dentist! They made my children very relaxed by talking to them and explaining every step of the procedure! They was sandy educated my children is amazing ! Thank you so much sandy and team !
