Been here a few times. He really knows what he's doing, pulled my husband's tooth when another dentist in center city couldn't. And you're not stuck in the waiting room for hours.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! (Un Dentista horrible. Hace un trabajo horrible donde toma atajos. La oficina tiene equipos antiguos. No se lo recomendaria a mi peor enemigo" I recently visited Dr. Arshad office as a new patient. For starters, the placed looked like someone's unfinished basement. In addition, the office had vintage outdated dentist equipment, a relic of the 60'S and 70's era. Furthermore, as a new patient, he didn't even introduce himself to me, or made any efforts towards a warm welcome. Instead, he seemed disengage, and indifferent the whole time I was there. I had found Dr. Arshad by googling "Dentist near me" after my primary Dentist office across town no longer accepted my insurance. I went there for a routine cleaning, and what I thought was a filling, but was told it was a chipped tooth restoration instead. After getting my X-rays done with cave man like equipment, and being seated, he proceeded to clean my teeth. This lasted no more than ten minutes. I honestly thought I was being prep for the cleaning. It was a far cry from what I had become accustomed to elsewhere.
Next, he proceeded to fix the chipped tooth, there was no preparation involved, he just placed the adhesive on the tooth and dried it. Now, I've had that procedure done, undone, and redone before, so I'm well familiar with the process. Granted, in any field, whether it's in construction, automotive, or fixing a flat on your bike, it's common knowledge that you've to prep the area where the adhesive is going to be placed. This would prove to be true a short time later. While there, I also raised concerns about these ridges that I have between my gums and some of my teeth. They were the caused of a crack on a molar that I previously had to have extracted at my previous Dentist. Apparently, I'd been brushing my teeth inappropriately which has caused this issue. He didn't seem attentive to my concern, and as a professional dentist would, advise me on a follow up plan to have the issue corrected. I left there not feeling happy with the visit, or interaction at all. Later, when I arrived home, and looked in the mirror, my teeth were in the exact condition as when I left my home that day. He didn't clean my teeth at all. I could see all the gunk in between my teeth. He never touched the interior of my teeth, or in between them. Needless to say, I was infuriated, I vowed to never return there. To make matters worse, about a week later, the chipped tooth he had repaired, the piece came off. I don't even know when it happened.
This was due to him not prepping it before placing the adhesive (It lasted decades when it was last done elsewhere). As a result, I called his office, and left a message with his secretary. He never returned my call. Instead, he had his secretary call me back a couple days later to set me up for another appointment a couple weeks out (Another easy money grab). I eventually canceled that appointment after I thought to myself that I couldn't go through another incompetent ordeal. Dr. Arshad seems to be well passed retirement age, and also seemed to have lost his passion to be a Dentist. I can't see him performing any complex dental procedure. I strongly believe that the State Board of Dentistry should review Dr. Arshad, to see if he is still fit to be a Dentist. In addition, I truly believe that the only reason he does not have hundreds of negative reviews, it's because he serves an underprivilege community. The majority of the population there are uneducated or have a language barrier which limits them from leaving a review of their experience with him. As a result, it pains me to give his office, or him, even a one-star rating. That place, and Dr, Arshad are HORRIBLE! Don't put yourself through the trauma. Go elsewhere, where there is modern equipment, and a competent professional for your dental needs.
