Dr. Jim Lu is a dedicated dentist practicing at
Asheboro Family Dentistry, located at 350 N Cox St STE 11, Asheboro, NC 27203. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland-Baltimore School of Dentistry in 2015. Following dental school, Dr. Lu completed a rigorous one-year General Practice Residency program at New York Medical College-Westchester Medical Center in 2016, where he gained advanced training in various dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics,
cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, implantology, and the management of
dental emergencies.
Dr. Lu is committed to providing high-quality
dental care in a family-friendly atmosphere. His practice at Asheboro Family Dentistry offers a wide range of services to address diverse patient needs. These services include
general dentistry (such as routine check-ups, cleanings, and emergency treatment),
restorative dentistry (
crowns, caps,
fillings), cosmetic dentistry (
teeth whitening, cosmetic bonding), and orthodontics, with a specialization in
Invisalign®. He is passionate about continuing education, constantly seeking to integrate new research, techniques, materials, and technology to enhance patient comfort and promote overall

A strong advocate for community involvement, Dr. Lu has volunteered in numerous dental clinics and Missions of Mercy clinics since his undergraduate studies, providing essential dental care to underserved communities. He took over Asheboro Family Dentistry in early 2017 and is dedicated to improving the health and smiles of patients in Asheboro and the North Carolina Triad area.
