I was Nervous to come to Aspen Dental. My teeth had many issues. They developed a plan for correcting everything. Appointments were convenient for my schedule. I am so glad I came to the Cranberry location. Big Thanks to Dr. Iyer, Mackenzie, Terri, and Romina!

I was heading into work and my tooth/filling chipped off while eating breakfast. This was incredibly frustrating as I had a busy day ahead of me. I called two Aspen locations one couldn’t see me until next Thursday. . I called the Cranberry location(where I usually get my cleanings done) and the receptionist was able to put my on the books that day! Not only that it wasn’t later in the day it was actually the next available which was about 11am(I’m driving and called around 10am).
The staff checked me in did my x-rays and got me back to see the dentist in no time. She was able to bond my tooth with hardly any pain and did not charge me a single dime. THAT’S customer service!! I appreciated everyone there today for getting me in before the weekend(this happened Thursday morning) and for the dentist putting her customers first. Great experience overall!!

I visited Aspen Dental (Cranberry Township, PA) for a routine cleaning and was told I had: * Gum recession * Bleeding on every tooth * Periodontal disease * And needed a deep cleaning with seven localized antibiotic treatments (Arestin) They gave me a treatment plan totaling $2,840, with $1,229 out-of-pocket after insurance. The Arestin alone was about $780, according to the itemized bill I requested upon learning the price. I had no symptoms—no pain, no prior gum issues other than gingivitis (which had never progressed into periodontal disease), and I just wanted a cleaning after some time overdue. When I expressed I could not afford this, no cheaper alternatives were offered. All I was told was that I should come in the next day so I can look at payment plan options. This was a red flag. When I asked for my records to get a second opinion, Aspen sent me a HIPAA form that was pre-marked to release only x-rays. I then checked the box to request both my x-rays and chart notes, adding a written note making that explicitly clear. I emailed back the completed form, but was told—without explanation—that I would only be receiving x-rays. Follow-up emails were ignored. I called five times with no answer.
Eventually, I had to go to the office in person with a printed copy of HIPAA law. I was prepared to read it in the waiting room if I was not given my records. It didn't come to that. To give them some credit, I was seen in five minutes. But they acted confused when I told them that I was denied of my chart notes, then asked what I wanted. . . . My chart notes? All documentation regarding my visit? Only then was I handed two sparse pages: a probing chart and a basic treatment plan summary. Two weeks later, I kept a previously scheduled appointment at Chestnut Hills Dental (McCandless), which I had forgotten about when I scheduled at Aspen. Their findings: * No gum recession * No need for deep cleaning or antibiotics * Probing depths mostly around 3mm or under, while Aspen claimed I had a lot of 4s and 5s.
* Tooth 28, marked 5-1-4 by Aspen, was 2-1-2 * Bleeding was much more mild than what Aspen charted, and certainly not generalized. Chestnut Hills completed a full cleaning in one visit. I paid $121 total, which included a $56 fee for a repeat evaluation, since Aspen had already used my insurance-covered exam. Without that, I would have been charged $65 by Chestnut Hills. The team at Chestnut Hills was professional and thorough. Based on what they saw in Aspen’s records and my actual condition, they encouraged me to follow up with the appropriate authorities. I’ve now reported Aspen Dental to the PA Attorney General, State Dental Board, HHS, and BBB. I’m very glad I got a second opinion. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your gut and don’t be afraid to ask questions—especially here.

Went for a broken tooth. at first, the experience was good. Got in same day. the process was easy. the x-ray and hygienist ladies were super nice. it all hit the fan when the doctor came in and told me I needed braces.
Just like other complaints on here, I felt like it was a sales pitch from the get-go. and then to be told my out-of-pocket costs would $3500??? Who carries that money around with them? The "office manager" was very condescending about the costs, like I should expect this to happen. Never again. thanks for wasting my time. and now I still have a bad tooth.
