My experience with Aspen- Hilltop today was amazing! It was my first visit and an emergency so I was feeling anxious, but that quickly passed. All of the staff, from the receptionist to the Doctor, were kind, compassionate and non-judgemental, unlike many dentists. Best of all, they were able to start my treatment plan right away!

I honestly really like and appreciate the staff here especially my Dentist… however their billing department is extremely confusing/infuriating I am pretty good at keeping track what gets sent to insurance after every visit. First it was 80 something dollars then it was a hundred something owed after insurance and then I received a bill for 200. 26 in the mail and when calling their billing department through their directory I was informed $75. 00 would be coming off of that total she also informed me my insurances were set up incorrectly (primary & secondary were flipped) so she said they would fix that and let me know what is owed after.

WELL I called today and not only was I told my balance was $200. 26 but they had no clue what the $75. 00 correction was supposed to be coming from. ON TOP OF THAT the billing department told me I had a claim pending for my Motto aligners, note: I paid for entire motto package in full yet when calling to ask about it all she could say was “I’m not allowed to tell you if you will or won’t be charged for it until the insurance gets back to them” (not upset with her directly she was very friendly) none the less I couldn’t get an answer as to why something that was already paid for be sent into insurance to begin with.

So now I’m doomed to wait for another bill that is unexpected to come in the mail with little to no help or explanation. I would recommend recording your visits/phone calls when discussing billing/coverage information and always get a print out of what was sent where.
