Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental, officially known as Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI), is a prominent American dental support organization (DSO) headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Established in 1998 by Robert Fontana, Aspen Dental has grown to support over 1,100 independently owned dental offices across nearly all states in the U.S., making it one of the largest networks of branded dental offices globally. The core mission of Aspen Dental is to enhance access to affordable and comprehensive dental care for a broad patient base, particularly those who may not have an existing relationship with a dental provider or face financial and other barriers to care. Many Aspen Dental practices are strategically located in areas identified as "dental deserts," where there is a significant need for dental services. The unique business model of Aspen Dental revolves around providing extensive non-clinical support services to independently owned dental practices. These services include, but are not limited to, accounting, marketing, human resources, payroll administration, regulatory compliance, procurement of equipment and supplies, real estate management, and patient interface platforms. This comprehensive support allows dentists to focus primarily on patient care and clinical decisions, while the administrative and operational burdens are managed by the DSO. Aspen Dental also offers a "Practice Ownership Program" (POP), which empowers dentists to become practice owners with the backing of the larger organization's resources. Aspen Dental clinics offer a wide spectrum of dental services, catering to various oral health needs. These services typically include: General Dentistry: Routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, root canal therapy, and dental crowns. Restorative Dentistry: Dentures (full, partial, and implant-supported), dental implants, and dental bridges. Cosmetic Dentistry: Teeth whitening, veneers, and clear aligners (Motto® clear aligners, exclusively available at Aspen Dental). Specialty Services: Oral surgery, including tooth extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and bone grafting; and endodontics (root canal treatments). The brand emphasizes affordability and accessibility, offering various payment options, including accepting most major dental insurance plans and providing dental financing solutions through third-party lenders. They also have the "Aspen Dental Savings Plan" as an alternative to traditional insurance. Beyond clinical services, Aspen Dental is actively involved in social impact initiatives, such as the "Healthy Mouth Movement" and "Day of Service," which provide free dental care to underserved individuals and U.S. veterans. The Aspen Dental - Concord Mills, NC location, like other Aspen Dental offices, operates under this DSO model, aiming to provide a broad range of dental services to the local community with a focus on patient convenience and comprehensive care. While reviews can vary by location, the brand generally promotes an integrated approach to care, with specialists available to address diverse dental needs under one roof.

It seems like it's all about the money not anything about helping the customer. The Staff was nice. But prices are outrageous and unaffordable. My goodness. Almost $3,500 for an extraction and deep cleaning

The staff was very nice and friendly. When it came time to talk about payment they wanted to charge me $578 and when i asked what was included the lady told me that it was a deep cleaning and some fillings. That seemed weird because my insurance normally covers fillings. I was looking through my insurance when she said.

“i can probably make it a little cheaper if i take the water pick and toothbrush off” why wouldn’t u tell me that that’s a part of it in the beginning? plus just for those two things it was around $270. It just rubbed me the wrong way that they were being sneaky with the pricing and what’s all added into it. Nice people but will be finding a more trustworthy place.

I started getting dental treatment shortly after this location opened. My dental situation was very grim. When I first went there they gave me an examination and then said I would need a special type of cleaning that would cost me $1300 on top of my insurance. I never got it done because I couldn’t afford it. I then went to north state perio and was told that I needed to just have all of my teeth pulled and either get dentures or dental implants. I decided to go back to aspen to have my upper teeth pulled out first and got dentures. After having the permanent dentures for like 2 weeks they broke.

I immediately called them and they had me bring them in to be repaired. All they did was glue the broken piece back on with what tasted like crazy glue when I put the dentures back in. It broke again immediately. I called them and they had me come in and gave me a whole new generic denture that made me look like Mr. Ed. Yes I took them and just went home and vowed to never ever go back there again. About a year later I got a voicemail from them telling me that I owe them $1100 for the second denture that they gave me to replace the poor quality permanent denture that they gave me at first.

After explaining what happened, the young lady said I didn’t owe anything. I’d also like to add that they have a high turn around where office managers are concerned. Right now I’m still living with those terrible dentures that they gave to me which are ill fitting but they are still in tact. My first experience with dentures was not good and I’d never go to them again.

Imagine looking forward to going to the dentist…I almost don’t want to tell you how amazing this office is because I’m scared they will get too busy! These people actually care. They never judge. They only want you to feel better.

The doctors and all the assistants go above and beyond. After dealing with small private practices for years I can say that Aspen is the best. Thanks guys! I’ll never be able to tell you how much I appreciate you!
